Trip to Tallinn

Trip to Tallinn

On 20th of March we went with BT-17, M-17 to Estonian History Museum in Maarjamäe palace, Energy Discovery Centre, also went to eat lunch at Scotland Yard pub. A few Russian students with teachers went to Film Museum instead of Estonian History Museum, later they joined us.

Estonian History Museum

The Estonian History Museum is located in Tallinn Maarjamäe palace. The story of the Estonian History Museum begins in 1802. For centuries, the place we now know as Maarjamäe was one of the many places in Tallinn where people flocked to enjoy the summer season. Back then, this place was called Strietberg.
The restored palace opened its doors to the public as a branch museum of the Estonian History Museum in 1987. Now it is a very good attraction for tourists. Also there are some small shops where you can buy history-themed and other souvenirs.

Scotland Yard pub

We had our lunch break in Scotland Yard pub which is located in Tallinn. For appetizer we eat pure soup. For main course we had meat with potatoes and some onion. And for dessert we had one little applepie with jam.

Energy Discovery Centre

After lunch we went to Energy Discovery Centre to see Lighting demonstration and one "Let your hair stand up!" or static electricity demonstration. When you touch the globe with an electrode (A charge of up to 150,000 volts), you can feel your hair stand up, the experiment is really just a fun experience.
